About The Event

Learn about the IRC’s CDFI microlending program through the Center for Economic Opportunity (CEO). CEO provides low-barrier, accessible business loans to small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs, with a focus on overall financial health and providing free business support assistance. CEO also provides credit-building loan products as a first step to business capital readiness. Come hear more about CEO’s microloan products, the application process, and how CEO makes loan decisions.

About the Speaker: Lauren Nicolas Card is the Small Business Program Coordinator at the International Rescue Committee (IRC) Seattle office. The IRC works to support vulnerable populations with community integration and realizing upward economic mobility that enables them to build sustainable futures. Lauren oversees the IRC Seattle’s small business support and microloan program, specializing in support tailored to the needs of immigrant and refugee entrepreneurs. Through the IRC’s subsidiary CDFI, the Center for Economic Opportunity (CEO), Lauren and the IRC Seattle Small Business team facilitate access to business microloans, empowering business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs often overlooked by traditional business finance options to reach their goals. The IRC Seattle Small Business Program is pleased to be featured as a Connector with the Seattle Metro Chamber Community Business Connector Program.
