Are you accepting new clients?

For the upcoming tax season, we are accepting a limited number of new small business clients, in addition to individual and decedents’ tax return clients, exclusively through referrals.

 

We are always accepting new tax representation cases for IRS and Washington state audits and collections.

What is an Enrolled Agent? 

Enrolled Agents (EAs) are federally-licensed tax practitioners who may represent taxpayers before the IRS when it comes to collections, audits, and appeals. Read more here

NTPI Fellows have completed a stringent, three-level program of study that covers all facets of representing clients before the IRS. Read more here

Are you open year-round? 

Yes, we are open year-round for your tax and business needs. At our firm, we prioritize work-life balance. Our founder is committed to ensuring our employees don't work more than 40 hours per week, unlike many tax firms.

Do you meet clients virtually or in-person? 

We mostly meet clients virtually via Zoom and exchange documents via the secure client portal. We can meet clients in person by appointment in Downtown Kent at 112 Railroad Ave S Kent, WA 98032.

Do you prepare non-profit taxes? 

No, we do not prepare non-profit tax returns. However, we do provide bookkeeping services and offer coaching and training services for non-profit staff and clients. 

How many tax preparation clients do you serve per year?

We're not a high-volume tax return factory; instead, we focus on building lasting relationships with clients who appreciate our expertise and respect our time. We are a boutique firm dedicated to providing high-quality services to our valued clients.

Do you provide bookkeeping and accounting services?

Yes, our bookkeeping and accounting package is designed for businesses that need reliable, ongoing monthly support. We offer a full range of services, including monthly bookkeeping, accounting reviews, and catch-up or clean-up work. Our team ensures your financial records are accurate, organized, and up to date so you can stay focused on running and growing your business with confidence.​​

Do you provide tax savings strategies?

Yes, we research tax saving strategies and help you implement them to minimize your taxes. We also provide tax return reviews for missed opportunities and amendments. Please visit our Tax Planning page for more information here.​

Do you help aspiring and start-up entrepreneurs? 

Yes, we offer free and affordable resources here

What services do you not provide? 

We do not provide payroll, legal, insurance, or financial planning services. We are happy to refer you to our partners.

 

We do not provide ongoing payroll services, however, we can assist with payroll set-up and support. We also provide payroll audit representation services. If you are selected for an audit and you need representation, please schedule Got Tax Problems here

Do you offer mentorship to bookkeepers, tax professionals, EAs, or CPAs?

Do you offer coaching and training services to teach business clients how to do their own tax preparation?? 

No, we handle the preparation of tax returns for you.

What is a CTC and CTP? 

Certified Tax Coaches (CTC) and Certified Tax Planners (CTP) are advanced designations with advanced training in proactive tax planning, who specialize in finding deductions, credits, loopholes, and strategies to help their clients pay less tax. Read more here

Do you provide services out of state? 

Yes, we can serve clients in most states. 

What are your operating hours?

Our operating hours are Monday through Thursday from 9:30am to 6:00pm and Friday by appointment only. We are closed on major federal holidays to allow our staff to spend quality time with their families.

Do you prepare international taxes? 

No, we do not. We are happy to refer you. 

If I receive a notice or an audit from the IRS or State, do you offer tax representation services?  

Yes, you can hire us to represent you on behalf of the IRS or State in audits, collections, and appeals. To inquire about our representation services, book your complimentary phone consultation here. 

What Types of Clients Are a Good Fit?

We’re a good fit for clients who value an ongoing professional relationship rather than a one-time transaction. Our ideal clients are comfortable with tax extensions when appropriate, understand that quality advisory services happens year-round, and want continuous support and guidance, not just once-a-year tax filing.

Do you provide tax preparation services? 

We provide tax preparation services exclusively for our business clients and tax representation clients as part of an ongoing professional relationship.

 

At this time, we are no longer accepting standalone basic tax preparation engagements. This allows us to focus on delivering higher-level support and continuity for clients who require year-round service or representation before the IRS and Washington State agencies.

How much do you charge?

We offer various models, including pay-as-you-go (for tax representation), value-based pricing, and subscription-based plans.​​​​​​​

What are the differences between a bookkeeper vs TaxUSign's professionals?

We are Certified in Xero and QuickBooks Online.

We can answer questions your bookkeeper can't because we have experience in taxes too. 

What is your cancellation policy for scheduling phone and Zoom meetings?

We ask you to give us a 24 hour notice for any scheduling changes. If you are unable to provide us with the appropriate notice to reschedule or cancel your appointment, you will be charged the full amount of your appointment. You will no longer be allowed to schedule appointments in our firm.

Do you offer coaching or training for business owners who want to do their own bookkeeping?

No, we no longer offer coaching or training for business owners. Managing your own bookkeeping is time-consuming and often takes focus away from growing and scaling your business. Coaching and training are better suited for an internal team member, separate from the business owner who is interested in pursuing a career in accounting or bookkeeping. Learn more here
