Recap: A Fun-Filled Mixer with Great Food, Games & Connections

On Thursday, May 29th, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, we hosted an unforgettable CARE Mixer that brought together inspiring entrepreneurs, engaging activities, and delicious Italian cuisine—all under one roof! If you joined us, you know what a blast it was. And if you missed it, here’s what went down.

A Taste of Italy from Paolo’s

Let’s start with the food. Paolo’s Italian Restaurant did not disappoint. From savory pasta to their fettuccine, focaccia, and salad, every bite was delicious. The food created the perfect backdrop for mingling and sparked plenty of conversations (and second helpings!).

A Full Agenda of Fun & Connection

We kicked things off with some casual networking as members and guests arrived and settled in.

To keep the energy high and the conversation flowing, we kicked things off with a lively icebreaker game of tax-themed Pictionary that had everyone laughing and learning tax-related terminology.

Next came a short but insightful presentation on “Hiring Your Kids”—a valuable talk packed with tips for small business owners and entrepreneurs. Guests walked away with actionable knowledge and a fresh perspective on how to keep it all in the family.

One of the highlights of the evening was the marketing game, designed to tap into our creative sides while encouraging collaboration and a little healthy competition. Let’s just say, there was no shortage of team spirit or hilarious pitches!

Swag, Raffles & Smiles All Around

Of course, no mixer is complete without a raffle drawing and some awesome swag! Lucky winners walked away with fun prizes, while everyone enjoyed our branded goodies as a thank-you for attending.

By the end of the evening, the room was full of laughter, new connections, and the kind of energy that makes us look forward to the next event. A big thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the mixer such a success.
